Theo James' Crime Thriller 'Fuze' Climbs Prime Video's Global Top Ten

It might have lost its place in the streaming top ten to the likes of The Great British Bake Off and a new adaptation of John Steinbeck's celebrated 1952 family saga, East of Eden, but just one month ago, the country was preparing to return to the world of underground crime for Season 2 of Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen. A follow-up to the popular 2019 movie of the same name, the first season of this crime series was a massive hit for Netflix, earning 12.2 million views during its first few days on streaming.

The second season of The Gentlemen, although another #1 hit for Netflix, only earned 6.7 million views in its opening gambit, which marked a drop-off of 45% compared to the first season. Theo James and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales alum Kaya Scodelario returned as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass in Season 2, with their criminal enterprise moving into overseas territories. However, Eddie's transition from Duke into a mob boss is starting to spill over, and he finds himself at the end of Bobby Glass' (Ray Winstone) wrath.

Following The Gentlemen's streaming success, which has now faded, another of James' lesser-seen movies is catching the attention of Prime Video users. Also starring Avatar's Sam Worthington and one of James' early predicted rivals for the new 007 position, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the heist movie Fuze is an underrated thriller directed by David Mackenzie. "Certified fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes, Fuze was a quiet hit in 2025, praised for its stylish execution of plenty of clever twists. Currently, Fuze is one of the ten most-streamed movies on Prime Video worldwide.

What Else Is Popular on Prime Video Right Now?

Fuze is currently one of the most-watched movies on Prime Video, but what else is proving popular worldwide? Unsurprisingly, Prime Video's most notable streaming hit of 2026, the sci-fi sensation Project Hail Mary, remains one of the lower-ranked top ten hits, alongside Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle and In the Grey. Currently, the most-watched movie on the platform worldwide is The Love Hypothesis, a hugely popular new rom-com that is proving a hit in all corners of the globe.
