Privacy information
This page describes the current platform’s technical behavior. The site operator must add their legal identity, retention policy and jurisdiction-specific terms before public launch.
Information you submit
Contact messages, newsletter requests and comments are saved in the site’s database. Email addresses are visible only to authorized staff. Approved comment text and the chosen display name are public.
Browser storage and accounts
Theme and navigation preferences stay in your browser. Staff authentication uses an HTTP-only session cookie. There is no paid reader subscription.
Media and advertisements
Images and videos are served from the site. Clicking an advertisement takes you to an advertiser’s website, which has its own policies. No third-party advertising scripts are included by default.
Google sign-in and reCAPTCHA
If you choose Google sign-in, Google processes the OAuth sign-in flow and returns a verified account identifier and email address needed to sign you in or create your author account. When the site operator enables Google reCAPTCHA v3, protected forms load Google’s reCAPTCHA script when you submit an action and send the resulting risk token to our server for verification. Google may receive technical and interaction information as part of that service. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.
Local weather
The weather widget estimates a city from your browser’s time zone. You can enter a different city; this preference is stored in your browser. Our server sends that city name to Open-Meteo and uses the returned public city-centre coordinates to request weather data. We do not request your device’s precise location or forward your IP address, account details or browser cookies to the weather provider. Weather data is cached temporarily. See Open-Meteo’s terms and privacy information.
Requests and questions
To ask about information you submitted, use the contact page. Transactional email and newsletter delivery depend on the site operator’s configured email services.
