Anticipation is mounting for Quentin Tarantino's dramedy sequel, The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, set to premiere in theaters this November and stream on Netflix in December. While Tarantino isn't directing this time, he serves as writer and producer, and David Fincher directs. In the film, Brad Pitt and Timothy Olyphant return as stunt double Cliff Booth and Western actor James Stacy, respectively, with the ensemble cast also featuring Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Peter Weller, among others.
With only about two months until the premiere of The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, now is a great time to revisit its prequel. Hailed by Tarantino as his personal favorite film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is among the most entertaining movies of the 2010s. The film features the iconic trio: Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton, an aging Western star; Pitt as his stunt double Cliff Booth; and Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, wife of Roman Polanski. The period film debuted in theaters in summer 2019 to widespread critical and commercial praise and continued to dominate streaming charts worldwide for years. It has now found a new streaming platform: Prime Video, where it will be available from September 25, 2026.
Set in 1969 Los Angeles, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood follows Rick, a fading actor, and his easygoing best friend and long-time stunt double, Cliff, as they navigate an industry undergoing rapid change. Rick, by the way, also lives next door to Roman Polanski (Rafał Zawierucha) and Sharon Tate, a filmmaker and aspiring actress whose lives are permanently changed by the Manson Family.
