Becoming the first biopic of all time to hit $1 billion in theaters, surpassing Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, Antoine Fuqua's musical movie, Michael, is one of the biggest hits of the year. Ever since the commercial and critical success of Bohemian Rhapsody, the music biopic has been threatening to break the billion-dollar boundary and is now one of the most lucrative cinematic avenues for production companies, both through theatrical ticket sales and music streams.

Whether it's the story of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, a clever twist on the genre in the criminally underrated Robbie Williams biopic Better Man, or any of Bob Marley: One Love, Elvis, and Rocketman, the music biopic continues to be pushed to its limits this decade. But those boundaries are about to be pushed even further courtesy of director Sam Mendes and writers Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, and Jack Thorne, who are bringing to life The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, which is scheduled to hit theaters throughout April 2028.

From their days headlining Liverpool's Cavern Club to becoming household names across the world, the journey of each of the Fab Four is set to be explored in detail never before thought likely. Previously, the cast — Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr — have been spotted recreating the iconic Abbey Road walk, and now TMZ has debuted snapshots of the gang recreating the legendary opening from their documentary, A Hard Day's Night, which followed their preparations for a live performance over a two-day period.

Who Else Stars in 'The Beatles' Movies?

With four films' worth of cast to fill and the enormous weight of expectation from The Beatles' generation-crossing fanbase, you won't be surprised to learn that the ensemble for this four-film cinematic event is stacked. Alongside Mescal, Dickinson, Quinn, and Keoghan, Saoirse Ronan features as Paul's wife Linda Eastman, Anna Sawai as John's wife Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as George's wife Pattie Boyd, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Ringo's wife Maureen Starkey, James Norton as manager Brian Epstein, Harry Lloyd as producer George Martin, David Morrissey as Paul's father Jim McCartney, and much more.
