Eric Nam's star has been on the rise for a while now, but 2026 has been a particularly eventful year for the international K-pop icon. He kicked off the year with his much-anticipated appearance on Season 4 of The Traitors US, being one of six contestants to make it to the final episode. Since then, he's joined the world of Avatar as a grown-up Aang in Paramount+'s Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, and he's been gearing up for a return to music, releasing singles and building buzz for his fourth studio album, Confessions of a Lonely Heart. The full album is slated to be released on October 16, but before then, he's joined forces with Alamo Drafthouse for a unique promotion.
The premier dine-and-drink movie chain has a new collaboration with Nam planned for this month through the global distribution partner The Orchard that will serve to both promote his upcoming music and celebrate its connections to cinema. Collider can exclusively reveal that, on October 19, ten select Alamo Drafthouse locations around the country will host screenings of Alfred Hitchcock's legendary horror thriller Psycho in commemoration of the first track from Confessions of a Lonely Heart, also titled, you guessed it, "Psycho." This one-of-a-kind fan event will pair the film with the debut of the official music video of the song, making for a one-night-only double-Psycho viewing with some exclusive keepsakes from Alamo. A recorded introduction by Nam will play before both Psychos to prepare everyone for a night of music and suspense.
Hitchcock's 1960 masterpiece, based on Robert Bloch's novel of the same name, remains one of the most iconic films ever made, with some of the most famous scenes in cinematic history. It shattered boundaries for what a thriller could be and is seen as one of the earliest truly great slasher films, following Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) to the remote Bates Hotel, where she disappears following an encounter with Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) after she made off with thousands of dollars from her employer. Nam jumped at the opportunity to create such a unique post-launch event for his album that tied his single to an all-time classic and is tailored for the fans. "Two Psychos in one night feels like a pretty memorable way to celebrate this album," he said in a statement. "I'm excited for fans to experience the music video on the big screen, then settle in for Hitchcock's classic. I can't wait for everyone to see what we've put together."
Eric Nam's 'Psycho' Screening Is Alamo's Latest Artist-Focused Event

Alamo Drafthouse has worked with plenty of creators through its Guest Selects program and other collaborations, ranging from Ben Affleck to Emerald Fennell, Guy Ritchie, and more. Yet, its Psycho screenings with Nam are part of a recent run of partnerships with music artists through The Orchard. This will be the chain's third team-up with the distributor this year, after previously hosting a live-stream event for death metal maestros Blood Incantation back in May and a special month-long Guest Selects series chosen by the virtual members of Gorillaz to celebrate their ninth album, The Mountain, in February.
Tickets for Nam's Psycho screening are available now on the official Alamo Drafthouse website. Entry to the event is free with a required purchase of a $10 food and beverage voucher. Check out the official promotional artwork above.
