Tom Hardy fans are on top of the world right now while the second season of his hit crime thriller show dominates watchlists, but he has another non-MobLand project also climbing streaming charts. In the last 10 years, Hardy has reached a new audience thanks to his unforgettable performance as Eddie Brock in a trio of Venom movies which were all successful at the box office. It was thought for a while that Hardy's Venom would eventually cross over with Tom Holland's Spider-Man, but this is all but dead after Hardy has admitted he's likely done playing Venom. Despite some controversy surrounding the third season of MobLand, Hardy has now been confirmed to return for the show's next batch of episodes, but the rest of his schedule beyond that is surprisingly open.
Venom may be what Hardy is best known for in recent years, but he's also starred in some dazzling sci-fi thrillers since his career really picked up steam in the early 2010s. Back in 2010, Hardy teamed up with acclaimed director Christopher Nolan for one of the most mind-bending sci-fi epics of all time in Inception, and he reunited with the director a few years later to star in the WWII epic, Dunkirk. Two years before Dunkirk, though, Hardy worked with Charlize Theron on one of the greatest sci-fi thrillers in history, Mad Max: Fury Road, which hails from writer/director George Miller. Hardy and Theron famously feuded on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road, which has led to the two of them never working together on another project since. The film still won six Oscars and grossed $380 million at the global box office.
How To Watch 'Mad Max: Fury Road' on Streaming
Mad Max: Fury Road is absent from streaming right now, and the only way to watch the film is by renting or purchasing it on VOD platforms like Prime Video or Apple TV. So many people are checking out the movie on VOD that it's even surged into the top 10 in a few countries. Mad Max: Fury Road has often found a streaming home in the last few years on HBO Max, so it wouldn't be surprising if it finds its way back to the platform before the end of the year. The official synopsis for Mad Max: Fury Road, which earned scores of 97% from critics and 86% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, reads as follows:
“Years after the collapse of civilization, the tyrannical Immortan Joe enslaves apocalypse survivors inside the desert fortress the Citadel. When the warrior Imperator Furiosa leads the despot's five wives in a daring escape, she forges an alliance with Max Rockatansky, a loner and former captive. Fortified in the massive, armored truck, the War Rig, they try to outrun the ruthless warlord and his henchmen in a deadly high-speed chase through the Wasteland.”
