Some movies stay criminally underseen despite great reviews and a phenomenal cast. Bad Times at the El Royale. Life. Margin Call. The Hateful Eight. There are way too many to list. And now, one such film is about to become even less accessible because it's leaving Netflix.

This one is an action-adventure comedy with a cast that sounds almost too good to be true. It's got Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum in the lead roles. Brad Pitt shows up in a scene-stealing bit part. Then there is our very own Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe, this time playing the big bad as an eccentric billionaire. He was so good in the film that his performance even won him Best Villain at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The film is The Lost City, and it is set to leave Netflix on November 9. That is a real shame because the movie has both a stacked cast and solid reviews to back it up. On Rotten Tomatoes, The Lost City holds a 78% critic rating and an even higher 83% audience score, which is top-tier for this genre.

What Is 'The Lost City' About?

The Lost City is an Indiana Jones meets Uncharted style adventure story. Bullock plays romance novelist Loretta Sage, who gets kidnapped in the middle of a book tour by Radcliffe's billionaire character. He believes her archaeological research and novels can lead him to the mythical "Crown of Fire" treasure hidden in a remote jungle. Tatum plays Alan Caprison, the dim-witted cover model for Loretta's books, who sets out to rescue her and prove he can be a real-world hero. He also enlists the help of an ex-Navy SEAL, played by Pitt, to help break her out. And of course, everything that can go wrong goes horribly wrong.

The Lost City is an incredible throwback to the fun, bubbly, easy-to-watch studio flicks of the 90s and 2000s, the kind of movie they just don't make anymore. So, for anyone who still has not seen it, the next few weeks are the perfect time to catch up and take a break from all the spooky stuff that's playing on TV right now.
