After its theatrical run, last summer's fantasy epic Masters of the Universe has become a streaming smash on Prime Video. That means more and more people are hearing the movie's stirring soundtrack, featuring the artistry of Daniel Pemberton and Brian May. Now, that soundtrack is coming to vinyl for the first time ever, and Collider is proud to exclusively reveal a first look at the set before it hits stores early next year.

The 1980s-inspired soundtrack for Masters of the Universe was composed by Pemberton, the composer for films like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Project Hail Mary. Several tracks feature guitar from legendary Queen guitarist May, who uses the same "Red Special" guitar that he used on most of Queen's classic hits. One track, "A Job for He-Man," homages the classic 1980s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon theme music.

The new two-LP edition of the soundtrack, from Lakeshore Records, will include 34 tracks of Pemberton's score across its two discs, with both records pressed on "Golden Flame" vinyl. It also features the movie's theme song, "Masters of the Universe," by British rock band The Darkness. The set comes packaged in a gatefold sleeve with multiple full-color inserts. The two-LP set will be available in January 2027 and can be pre-ordered now at LakeshoreRecordsShop.com. A deluxe edition of the soundtrack on vinyl will be available later in 2027 from Mutant.

Nicholas Galitzine stars as Adam, prince of the techno-magical planet Eternia, who has been exiled to Earth after his homeworld was conquered by the skull-faced sorcerer Skeletor (Jared Leto). Years later, he finds his long-lost Sword of Power and returns to a devastated planet ruled by Skeletor's monstrous legions. Now, with the help of weapons master Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), warrior woman Teela (Camila Mendes), and the mechanical Roboto (Kristen Wiig), Adam calls upon the power of Castle Grayskull to become the all-powerful He-Man. However, he'll need more than raw power alone to triumph over Skeletor's evil. Directed by Travis Knight (Wildwood), the film is based on the long-running series of action figures, cartoons, and comic books from Mattel.
