Owen Wilson is preparing to close out 2026 with a bang. The Oscar nominee of Wedding Crashers fame has several projects bound for streaming and theaters in the final three months of the year, including his return to television with Season 2 of his hit Apple TV golf comedy, Stick. Pryce Cahill's big comeback to the PGA Tour is set to tee off on November 4, just three weeks before Wilson swings by the home of the Fockers once more with the Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro franchise's return, Focker-in-Law, on November 25. Those performances will add to an already busy stretch for the actor, including an unexpected team-up with Reacher's Alan Ritchson for the buddy action-comedy Runner and an appearance in Rick & Morty Season 9 as Reese, a chill old "friend" of the scientist and his grandson who is much more than he seems beneath his warm, folksy demeanor.
Before taking the green again or re-entering Greg and Pam's lives, though, Wilson is about to get loud. Rolling Loud, that is. On October 2, he'll head to the titular hip-hop music festival for Rolling Loud: The Movie, a new comedy set during one out-of-control bonding weekend between father and son. Wilson plays a stuffed-shirt dad whose desperate attempt to prove how cool he can be backfires horribly when he loses his 13-year-old son (Christian Convery) in the chaos of the event and must navigate mosh pits, security, backstage areas, and more to find him. Along the way, he brushes with a few wildcard attendees and music acts, becoming unexpectedly in tune with the music moment's pulse. His wild adventure even includes a brush with Rolling Loud's headliner, Travis Scott.
Collider can exclusively share a new sneak peek ahead of the high-pressure film that shows Wilson not just meeting the rapper, who's fresh off Christopher Nolan's blockbuster epic The Odyssey, but bonding with him over something surprising — furniture. The footage shows the distressed dad having a smoke alongside Scott, who finds his quest to locate his son in the buzz of Rolling Loud surprisingly deep. His appreciation of the effort Wilson's character is going through to be a good father doesn't help him feel any better about the reality that he's likely to lose everything after one very irresponsible decision to sneak a young teenager into one of the wildest hip-hop venues possible. When he mentions his furniture store gig, though, Scott lights up, being a massive fan of their craftsmanship from the "ironwood junction table" to the rapper's luxurious "Ralston lounger." Scott may be the Grammy-nominated superstar, but in his eyes, the furniture salesman is a genuine rock star who teaches him exactly how to best enjoy the comforts around him.
'Rolling Loud' Brings Star Power to the Landmark Hip-Hop Festival
Live Nation Entertainment produced Rolling Loud: The Movie, which is packed full of star power for more surreal and hilarious moments at the festival, like Wilson and Scott's back-and-forth. Rising stand-up comedy superstar Matt Rife prominently shares the screen with Wilson alongside Christine Ko, Sexyy Red, Ski Mask The Slump God, Ty Dolla $ign, Henry Winkler, and Jolene. The film's heart remains the family dynamic with a dad who's out of touch with his teenage son, though. Jeremy Garelick wrote and directed the wild and surprisingly heartfelt ride, bringing experience from helming comedic efforts like The Wedding Ringer with Kevin Hart and Murder Mystery 2 with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston.
Rolling Loud: The Movie premieres in theaters on October 2, courtesy of Ketchup Entertainment, which just brought Warner Bros.' controversially shelved Acme vs. Coyote to the big screen last month. Check out our exclusive sneak peek in the player above.
