We're one step closer to finding out who the next James Bond will be. The future of the world's most famous spy has been up in the air, but in just 2 days time, we're going to meet the new Bond. James Bond. But this is a new Bond, for a new generation. One before the Aston Martins, the martinis, and the license to kill.
The new full-cast audio drama Young Bond: SilverFin officially releases on October 29, just two days from now, with Isaac Rouse starring as the teenage James Bond. Produced by Big Finish Productions in collaboration with Ian Fleming Publications, the adaptation of Charlie Higson's novel will consist of 16 half-hour episodes, totaling approximately eight hours of storytelling across two volumes.
To celebrate the launch, Big Finish has also announced a collectible Young Bond bookazine, offering more than 50 pages of exclusive behind-the-scenes material, which explores the origins of the novels, the process of adapting SilverFin for audio, and the creation of the musical score, alongside interviews with writer-director Barnaby Edwards, composer Joe Kraemer, and members of the cast.
James Bond's New Adventure Comes With a Special Collector's Edition

The bookazine also includes character concept art, photographs from the recording sessions, and images of Rouse in character during a special photoshoot at Eton College. Jason Haigh-Ellery, chairman of Big Finish Productions, explained why the company wanted to give Bond fans something extra to celebrate the release.
"James Bond is one of the greatest entertainment icons of all time, and Young Bond gives us the chance to explore the legend from a completely fresh perspective. To celebrate the new Young Bond audio drama series, we wanted to create something special – a bookazine packed with exclusive content, fascinating behind the scenes insights, and imagery from the Eton photo shoot as well as the recording studio. This isn't just a magazine, it’s a collector's edition, created by Bond fans for Bond fans, and something we hope will take pride of place in every 007 collection."
Designer Mark Plastow, who assembled the bookazine, added, "The first thing I did graphically for the Young Bond releases was the silhouette of Bond jumping with the target. It proved to be popular, so we took the image and ran with it! The bookazine is a great, informative read and it's lovely that a lot of the brilliant photography from the recordings gets to be seen."
Young Bond: SilverFin and its accompanying collector's edition bookazine release on October 29, 2026, with pre-orders available through Big Finish Productions. You can explore more audio dramas, books and more with a free trial of Audible.
