Pierce Brosnan will always be known for his role as James Bond in the 1990s, but now that he’s left life as 007 behind, his career isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Brosnan is one of the brightest stars in Guy Ritchie’s hit crime saga, MobLand, which co-stars Tom Hardy. The show recently returned for Season 2, and it wasted no time claiming a spot as one of the most-watched series in the world. Brosnan also took his talents to Netflix in 2025 for the platform’s Knives Out-style murder mystery, The Thursday Murder Club, which earned millions of views during its initial viewing period. Next year, Brosnan will be seen in theaters in a remake of Cliffhanger, the popular action movie starring Sylvester Stallone (Tulsa King) that was first released in theaters in 1993.
For any star to have been acting in high-profile movies and TV shows as long as Pierce Brosnan, it’s only natural for there to be some failures mixed in with the many success stories. One of his recent box office bombs — and no, we’re not talking about 2025’s Black Bag co-starring Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett — came in 2022 when he teamed up with Dwayne Johnson and Aldis Hodge for Black Adam. Brosnan was a standout in the film starring as Doctor Fate, even doing so well with his performance that many fans are asking if there’s a chance we’ll see him again in a future DCU project. In addition to streaming on HBO Max, Black Adam has also been streaming on Netflix for a while now, but the streamer recently announced that the last day to watch the movie will be at the end of the month on October 31.
Did ‘Black Adam’ Bomb at the Box Office?
Warner Bros. and DC spent around $200 million on the making of Black Adam, and the film failed to reach $400 million at the box office, grossing only $393 million during its global run. This is enough to avoid being branded a complete flop, but far from enough to be considered a success. Additional cast members for Black Adam include Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Marwan Kenzari as Sabbac.
