It's been quite the year for Connor Storrie, who has gone from, well, the equivalent of rags to riches in about the space of five minutes thanks to the phenomenal success of Heated Rivalry, which propelled him into the center of a pop culture phenomenon, with an Emmy nomination, major brand deals, and a growing list of projects to show for it. But a massive superhero movie with a guy on a motorbike with a flaming skull probably wasn't on his to-do list. Until now.
Storrie is in talks to join Ryan Gosling in Marvel Studios' upcoming Ghost Rider movie, potentially playing the villain opposite Gosling's Johnny Blaze. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is negotiating to appear in the superhero blockbuster, which will be directed by Shawn Levy and is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 28, 2028. The identity of Storrie's potential character remains under wraps.
The movie sees Gosling play Johnny Blaze, a motorcycle stunt performer who — bear with us — makes a deal with the devil and becomes bonded with a demonic entity. The kind of normal thing you'd do on any given day, just hanging out before being busy transforming into the flaming-skulled Spirit of Vengeance. The character was previously brought to the big screen by Nicolas Cage in two movies, although Marvel's latest incarnation will bring the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Who Will Connor Storrie Play in 'Ghost Rider'?
While Marvel is keeping Storrie's potential role secret, the character has no shortage of supernatural enemies who could make life miserable for Johnny Blaze. Among the most recognizable is Mephisto, the demonic villain who played a major role in the earlier Ghost Rider films and was more recently portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen in Ironheart. Blackheart, Mephisto's son, is another familiar antagonist, although there's currently no indication that Storrie will play either character.
The film will also reunite Gosling with Levy following their collaboration on Star Wars: Starfighter, with Jonathan Tropper returning to write the screenplay. Production is expected to begin in New York in 2027, with Dune: Part Three cinematographer Linus Sandgren attached to shoot the movie on film.
Marvel Studios' Ghost Rider is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 28, 2028.
