The Epic Games Store is offering two free PC games to Epic users this week. For a limited time, you can grab a genre-blending samurai game and a hand-drawn mystery game at no charge.
Shogun Showdown
Shogun Showdown is a stylish pixel art game that blends several genres. Its turn-based combat features deck-building elements used to build out your character's abilities. Set in a world inspired by Feudal Japan, you fight your way toward taking down the Shogun on each roguelike run. Shogun Showdown released two years ago and has since amassed more than 3,500 "Overwhelmingly Positive" player reviews on Steam.
Mindcop
Literally dive into the mind of a murder suspect in Mindcop, a whodunnit detective game. You investigate a murder in a small town and can sneak inside a suspect's mind, which plays out as a puzzle minigame as your cop tries to access the suspect's brain. You have only five days to solve the crime, and each action chips away at your remaining time. Mindcop also released two years ago and has over 400 "Very Positive" player reviews on Steam.
If Shogun Showdown and Mindcop catch your eye, all you need to do is log in to the Epic Games Store and claim them. The games are free until Thursday, Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. EDT.
