'Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle 2' Release Date Officially Teased

The wait for the next installment of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle won't be long. This anime feature broke numerous box office records when it hit theaters, so much so that Crunchyroll played coy about its streaming release date because of its sheer popularity. As fans anticipate the next chapter of Demon Slayer, its release date could be sooner than you think.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was the first of three movies adapting Demon Slayer's final chapters, where Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps fought Muzan and his demon army in the Infinity Castle. The first movie came out in 2025, became an immediate box-office success, and won "Film of the Year" at the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Since the movie's release, reports have suggested potential release dates for the next two films, but Crunchyroll has not confirmed them. But this latest leak could give a clue as to when Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle - Part 2 could come out.

The box office tracking website The Numbers has listed an "Untitled Sony Pictures Film" scheduled for release in 2027. Fans believe this is the next Demon Slayer movie because it's listed as being distributed by Crunchyroll, alongside Sony Pictures. It could also be a placeholder for the upcoming Solo Leveling film, Solo Leveling — Beyond the System — The Movie, as that feature has yet to confirm its release date. Regardless, the untitled listing is still on the site, teasing a domestic release on September 17 and an International Release on September 15.

What Happened During Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle?

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle took place immediately after the events of Demon Slayer's Season 4 finale, when the Demon Slayer Corps was sent into Infinity Castle, Muzan's home turf. The first film features the first half of the Demon Slayers' battle against Upper Rank 2 demon Doma (Mamoru Miyano/Stephen Fu), Zenitsu's (Hiro Shimono/Aleks Le) fight against the new Upper Rank 6 demon Kaigaku (Yoshimasa Hosoya/Alejandro Saab), and Tanjiro's (Natsuki Hanae/Zach Aguilar) and Giyu's (Takahiro Sakurai/Johnny Yong Bosch) fight against Upper Rank 3 Demon Akaza (Akira Ishida/Lucien Dodge). The battle ends with two Upper Rank demons defeated, while the Demon Slayers have yet to find Muzan. Meanwhile, Nezuko (Akari Kitō/Abby Trott) remains protected and hidden from Muzan, who's still after her because she can walk in sunlight despite being a demon.
