Daniel Craig's 163-Minute James Bond Epic Officially Hits 250 Days on Streaming Charts

Right now is an exciting time to be a James Bond fan, even if the last few years have been somewhat cold for the franchise. James Bond officially returned this year in the long-awaited new release, 007 First Light, which hails from developer IO Interactive, the same studio behind the Hitman games. Patrick Gibson (Dexter: Original Sin) did such a great job as a young James Bond in the game that fans have been pushing for Amazon to cast him as the next James Bond in the new film in the works, but the studio is reportedly heading in a different direction. Denis Villeneuve (Dune, Blade Runner 2049) is directing the next Bond film with a script from Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders), and the shortlist for the next 007 features stars like Jacob Elordi, Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, and Jack Lowden.

James Bond has been around for years now, and while most projects have been widely loved by 007 fans around the world, there have been others that were met with a polarizing reception. One of said projects is No Time to Die, the final James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig as 007 that was first released in theaters in 2021. Craig revolutionized Bond through five movies playing the character, so much so that he's left huge shoes to fill for whoever is next in line to star as the legendary spy. There were some fans who were apprehensive about the ending of No Time to Die, but many of them have come around in the years since release. The film is so popular on streaming, where it currently streams on Prime Video, that it's been in the top 10 for over 250 days now.

When Is the Next James Bond Movie Coming Out?

Amazon has not even announced a release window for the next James Bond movie, but there are a few clues that indicate when it could be released. Denis Villeneuve has confirmed that he will begin work on the movie right away once Dune: Part Three has been released later this year on December 18. While this doesn't mean production on the new 007 film will begin before the end of this year, it could kick off next year, which could lead to the film being released in 2028.
