Having featured in two of the summer's biggest hits, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey, actors Zendaya and Tom Holland have perhaps reached the peak of their respective careers. The two movies have broken numerous records and grossed a combined total of more than $4 billion worldwide. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is among the three biggest releases in global box-office history, and is poised to become the biggest domestic hit of all time. Meanwhile, The Odyssey was recently crowned the biggest Universal release of all time. There is, however, another actor who has had a tremendous year so far, and still has a trump card up her sleeve.
Anya Taylor-Joy reprised her role as Princess Peach in this year's The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which made more than $1 billion worldwide. In December, she will be seen in director Denis Villeneuve's epic trilogy-capper Dune: Part Three, which is projected to break franchise records at the box office. Dune: Part Three will clash with Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, and both Warner Bros. and Disney have their fingers crossed for a repeat of the "Barbenheimer" phenomenon, where the competition fuels combined interest in the films. Dune: Part Three is tracking to deliver a $100-million-plus debut domestically and to outgross Dune: Part Two's $715 million global box-office benchmark.
