Amanda Seyfried is one of the most multi-talented actors of her generation. Late last year, she played a starring role in one of the most viral movies of 2025, opposite Sydney Sweeney and Brandon Sklenar in The Housemaid. An adaptation of Freida McFadden's bestselling novel of the same name, word of mouth and a resurgence in the book's popularity helped The Housemaid shoot to the top of the box office, eventually earning $400 million worldwide against a production budget of just $35 million.

A sequel, The Housemaid's Secret, which is slated for a December 17, 2027, release, sadly won't feature Seyfried as part of the main cast. Instead, there are plenty more brilliant Seyfried films to keep fans entertained, including a cult horror that is now considered one of her best. The feminist horror flick Jennifer's Body might've been misconstrued upon release due to its sex-appeal-driven marketing, but 17 years later, it is now heralded as one of the pioneering films of its kind, paving the way for bloody, feminist modern horror.

The film stars Seyfried and Megan Fox as two unlikely best friends, whose lives change when the latter is possessed during a demonic ritual. The film earned $32 million worldwide during a quiet box office run, against a reported budget of $16 million. Sporting an iconic soundtrack, two memorable lead performances, and several viral moments that have stood the test of time, Jennifer's Body is now a regular favorite during spooky season and a must-watch for millions. If one of those is you, then you'll be glad to learn that, as of October 1, Jennifer's Body is available to stream on Starz.

What Is Amanda Seyfried Making Next?

So what's next on the cards for Seyfried if she isn't part of The Housemaid sequel? Next month, on November 20, she will feature as Cinderella in the voice cast of Netflix's latest animated movie, Steps. Beef Emmy winner Ali Wong leads the cast, supported by Stephanie Hsu as Margot, Bette Midler as the Fairy Godmother, Nikki Glaser as the wicked Priscilla, and the likes of Daniel Radcliffe, Young Mazino, Peter Dinklage, and Damian Priest.
